I really enjoyed this event, also hosted by Alchemy as part of the Ilkley Literature Festival. The fascinating story of the lost princess, Victoria Gowramma, was told by the book’s Indian author, CP Belliappa with musical responses, that perfectly combined Jazz and Indian musical traditions, by saxophonist David Wilson and tabla player Inder “Goldfinger” Matharu, who have recently returned from a performance in California.
