Northern Print Biennale


The Northern Print Biennale opens this week, unfortunately I can’t go to the opening but…

Northern Print, Laing Art Gallery, Hatton Gallery & culture10 invite you
to the private view of Northern Print Biennale and announcement of
winners for the 2009 print awards on Friday 3rd July 2009.
Speeches and winners will be announced at 7pm at the Laing Art Gallery.
Courtesy buses will be available between the galleries during the evening.

Northern Print Biennale will bring together international artists and cultural venues across NewcastleGateshead
for the biggest celebration of printmaking this country has ever seen. There will be exhibitions, talks, workshops
and hands-on events at venues including; Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Shipley Art Gallery, Designed
and Made, Vane, Discovery Museum, Mushroom Works and Hole Editions, Waygood Art Boutique, Gallagher
and Turner, Biscuit Factory as well as Print 09 Symposium at Newcastle University.
Northern Print Biennale has been initiated by Northern Print and is part of NewcastleGateshead’s world-class
programme of festivals and events, developed by culture10
