This winter we had some late snow. It was the worst snow we’ve had. It started on the 22 March and even now with temperatures rising to 12 and 13 degrees there are small pockets of it on the Berwyn. On the 23 March the snowflakes were so perfect, like drawings of snow flakes, almost as though they were being seen under microscopes.

A trip to Llangollen, which would normally take 20 minutes took almost 3 hours. The main A5 road was reduced to a single track with trees falling across the road under the weight of the snow.
