Catrin Howell was born and brought up in west Wales and is well known internationally for her delicate ceramic figures of animals which have strong relationships to creatures in myth and legend. We talked to Catrin about her influences and her current work.

OM:Your work has always depicted animals particularly in relation to myth and legend – what originally drew you to this subject matter?
